  1. Just watched Chopped, you should have your own cooking show. They chopped you but the people in NC think you’re a winner.

  2. I just watched chopped and was routing for you. I’m sure you would have won if you didn’t cut your finger. If I’m ever in OK I will check out the Chuckwagon! If you did have your own show I would watch it.

  3. I have been making your coffee at home with outstanding results over the past year. Hard to believe conventional wisdom is so so wrong about boiling coffee, incredibly good and life changing. Thanks

  4. Kent, I watched you on “Chopped” the grill master championship, and then re-watched the entire last round again, because I thought you were the most likable cowboy I have ever seen. I live in New York City, and I’ve never been to Texas or any of the western states, except Las Vegas Nevada, and that doesn’t count. You were honest, funny, and a damned good chef, I hope you get a show of your own, you deserve it.

    • A show has always been a dream of mine. Thanks so much for watching Michael and rooting an old cowboy on. I had a good time showing folks a little of how I cook. You ever get down this way we’ll have a bologna sandwich! take care my friend and thanks again.

  5. Hi Kent,
My husband and I just watched the Chopped rerun. We were rooting for you the whole time. It brought tears to my eyes watching the final episode, we felt so bad that you lost. But you carried yourself very well and you are such a fine person and true gentleman. We wish you the best in everything you do, good luck on your business and have a happy life with your wife and family.

  6. Hi Kent! I just watched an airing of the Chopped Grill Masters, and I agree you should have your own show. I tell my husband every time we see one of your episodes how much I like watching you, and I am impressed no end by your awesome manners, kindness to your competitors, and wonderful food. People could learn a thing or two from you! Good luck to you and Shannon in your adventures!

    • Nancy I haven’t tried it but I believe a lady told me she did it and added a little more oil bc gluten free is drier. If you do it let me know how it turns out

  7. Hi Kent! My husband Andy and I have just watched Chopped and were gutted you didn’t win…we were both salivating over your whiskey cream sauce! We’re from the UK and watching you from our home in the UAE. Thanks for being a joy to watch, your positivity and calm manner was so heartwarming and such a change to what we’re used to :) you’ve made my day, thank you. Melissa

Thanks so much for watching and the kind words, Them folks at Chopped sure do have some weird groceries

  8. Hi Kent! Just watched the Grill Master’s episode with you on it (for a second time!) and had to tell you how much I enjoyed watching you cook. Everyone is right, you need your own show! Maybe with your wife!
I live in L.A., but my Mom was from Oklahoma and I’ve lived in Texas and Charleston, S.C. and it’s nice to hear your drawl! Keep cooking! And come back to TV! We miss you!

Thanks so much for watching and I keep thinking if they re run it enough maybe the outcome will be different, I tell my sweet wife I aint got no accent is just called speaking Okie

  9. I just recently watched the Chopped Grill Masters episode and then the episode where you were refeatured on Chopped and I almost cried when you didn’t win! I have never been so inspired by someone with such an open heart and positivity – and I’m a college student from the midwest who doesn’t even cook! After a diagnosis with major depressive order a few months ago, seeing people that are able to be that positive with the opportunities they were given is so inspiring to me! Thanks again.

Thanks so much for watching and the greatest thing my parents taught me was to improvise, I have never seen such weird groceries. Whatever life saddle’s up I try to figure out how to ride it, sure I’ve been bucked off many times but the secret is in always getting back on.
Sorry for the late reply, and again thanks so much for watching and the kind words

  10. Kent,

I just saw your redemption episode on chopped on Netflix. I have never appreciated a competitor more than you. Thank you for bringing your own unique personality to Chopped. I only wish that you had won. Your comments about the vegan lobster still make me laugh. How did that thing taste?

I am so impressed with your positive attitude-nothing phases you. That is an admirable trait that not many people can claim to have.

Hope everything is going well with your business. Thanks for doing what you do!

    • Marcy thanks for stopping by, and sorry for the late reply, I didn’t taste the vegan lobster it was bad enough to have to touch it

  11. Kent, my husband and I just saw your awesome skill on Grill Masters\ Food Network. Being from Texas and enjoy grilling every chance we get. We loved watching you and your style. 12. Howdy Kent, Living in Oklahoma I get everything you’re about and appreciate the kind of quality person you are. Hard working, funny, respectful and always honoring your wife is a great example for the rest of the world to follow. Your simple but delicious approach to common cuisine always sparks an interest in my tastebuds and I usually have great results following your recipes, proving you know what you’re talking about. Ordered your seasoning and cookbook to get a little closer to your way of life. You and Shannon inspire me…! Thanks for being a great representative to our fine State… Oklahoma is OK..!
